Lucy Russell

Account Manager

What I have done...

After completing my History Degree at the University of Nottingham in 2012, I worked in a number of marketing roles across a variety of sectors including Volvo, BritishAmerican Business and a global events agency. It was at the events agency - whilst planning incredible events all over the world - that I realised how important it was for me to move into the travel and tourism industry professionally. I spend all my spare time visiting new countries and exploring vibrant cultures; it would be silly not to have perused a career working to sell and market those beautiful destinations!


What I do now...

I joined Hills Balfour in 2017 and work as a Sales and Marketing Manager for Brand USA, the official destination marketing organisation for the United States and America’s first public-private partnership to promote the USA as a premier travel destination.


What I do for Fun...

I have lived just outside of London all my life which is conveniently close to all major London airports to allow me to quickly jet off for weekends away in Europe - that is my favourite way to spend a weekend! When I am in England, I love to eat so often try out new restaurant openings in London, as well as the theatre. I try and see a new play or musical once a month. I spend my spare time with friends and family, often planning our next trip, and enjoy spinning, running and walking my Yorkshire Terrier in the Hertfordshire countryside.

With a strong marketing background, I hope to bring creativity and innovation to the role. My unwavering passion for travel and exploration is fitting at Hills Balfour and is a passion shared with all of my colleagues. My love for food might come in handy too; I often find myself offering bar and restaurant recommendations to fellow food lovers looking for somewhere tasty to dine.
