Sophie Holloway

Senior Account Manager

What have I done...
In 2012, I successfully graduated with a BA Honours degree in Tourism Management, which included a placement year at a travel representation company, working on a varied portfolio of clients within Australasia, Asia and the South Pacific. In between, I also managed to cram in trips to South Africa, America, India and Thailand as well as several years’ experience working for various UK hotels.

What I do now...
After a short stint working with the Tourism and Events Queensland team, I moved across to start my permanent role as Sales and Marketing Executive for some equally amazing destinations including New York City and Mauritius

What I do for fun...
As a relative newcomer to London, I spend much of my time seeing the sights, getting lost and generally being a tourist. I really enjoy keeping active and in particular enjoy running. In fact, I have just signed up for my first half marathon later this year (I try not to think about it too much though!). It will come as no surprise that I love to travel and enjoy nothing more than planning my next trip to sunnier climes!

What I bring to Hills Balfour...
I am an excellent organiser and love the event side of the job. I have a good understanding of hotel operations and am confident communicating with both clients and consumers, having worked in customer facing roles. I take things in my stride and can work calmly under pressure. Above all, I love to travel so am passionate about my work and will work hard to deliver results for my clients.
