Doha Olympic Bid - Bidding for 2020



Doha’s bid for the 2020 Olympic Games needed support. They needed a positioning, a brand and their bid book designed, produced and delivered to the IOC within 2 months. The campaign also needed to be launched to the people of Qatar to get their support.



We firstly ran a process with all decision makers to shape and sharpen the strategy: Inspiring an Arabian generation to be Olympic. We then created the brand, the ultimate symbol of nurturing, capturing the meaning of Doha; ‘the tree’ in Arabic. We then used this and paper engineering to develop all bid book items for the IOC, VIP packages for Qatari Royal Family and launched the bid itself with an integrated multimedia and event driven campaign in Qatar and to the international media.
