Kenya Roadshow May 2019

Kenya Tourism Board held a 4-day roadshow in the UK and Ireland in May 2019 in partnership with Kenya Airways to update and advise the UK and Irish travel trade and increase awareness of the diversity of experiences that Kenya has to offer. The sales agent events were held in Dublin, London, Manchester and Edinburgh, with an additional Product Manager Workshop held in London on Wednesday morning, which allowed partners to meet key Product Managers in the UK market, and have one-on-one time with decision makers in the market. The roadshow brought some of Kenya’s key trade partners face-to-face with 217 of some of the UK and Ireland’s key travel trade.

The attendees at the events comprised of tour operator sales agents, travel agents and homeworkers, all of which are the frontline staff that sell the holidays and benefit from learning about the diversity of experiences available in Kenya and other destination news and updates.

The evenings consisted of drinks and networking whilst a Maasai dance performance took place, followed by a welcome speech from the Kenya Tourist Board and Kenya Airways. The partners then had five minutes each to present their product, followed by an interactive quiz. The winning table was invited to partake in a show down quiz, whereby the table went head-to-head to win a holiday to Kenya!
